Today captured my full attention as Chris Brogan 'twittered' on taking responsibility and firing the 'committees' that make you feel stuck, to BE your best self.. A brillliant piece and a must read!! Are you taking responsibility for your career?
I am constantly amused or entertained by others approach to being and bringing their best selves to industry or community. I love social networking, linkedin, facebook, twitter, plaxo pulse, etc.. The gift is the unplanned inspiration, the sudden thoughtfulness or lightheartedness of others great ideas is so much easier to enjoy from these quick 'what are you doing, sharing, or being now.. messages. It took me a while to appreciate the value of 'what are you doing now'... Seemed like that would be pretty boring, but only if the people you are following are doing pretty boring things.. Not in my crowd...
