Career Perfection: This Notion Works!

Experiencing a need for change in your career, or a lack of career satisfaction. Some are feeling such fear, doubt, exhaustion or overwhelm such that they have lost the notion of awareness, and are operating on autopilot. Switch that! You can change, you can identify and achieve your perfect career.

I grew up listening with delight to Zig Ziglar and Denis Waitley. More recently I began a course with several coaches-- a health coach and a "prosperity" coach.. Both are teaching me to use different muscles, and view myself more completely. Coaching is powerful because you get direct feedback into what actions you can adjust in your natural way of being, to get better results. I strongly recommend coaching as the ideal way to get a custom fit program for your own career success story. Having a coach, a cheering squad, or a supportive friend along the way can fortify your capabilities.

Your dream job CAN happen and WILL happen if you will allow it. This my friends, applies in any economy, and those of us who supported the dot com bubble burst a few years ago can attest.. Resilience lives in optimism, optimism in action, action in belief that the right possibility exists.. And so it seems we are in more of the belief business than anything.

Find something inspirational in the career realm, follow your bliss, you will find your own career perfection and well being. Following are the action steps you can take to attain career perfection in the near term. There are a few ground rules that if you apply consistently, will transform your career opportunities.

1. Eliminate mental and emotional waste-- fear, uncertainty, worry, doubt through action, visualization, awareness.

2. Ask clearly for what you aspire for your ideal career situation. Trust that the answer exists. Continue to align your action and believe system to receive that end state.

DAILY ACTION STEPS UNTIL YOU RECEIVE YOUR IDEAL CAREER:

a. Keep a daily gratitude, energy, and inspiration list. Seek to appreciate amazing experiences as this time is preparation for when you get to your ideal career-- and you will be busy then.

b. Thoughts become things. Remember your choice in attracting what you want to do with your time and your life. Nourish these thoughts that support you.

START:
* Keeping a daily gratitude and progress log.
* Raising your awareness of what you can do and every day you can make progress.
* Believing that you have amazing abilities and no one can take that away, except you in what you think, believe, or accept/receive.
* Talking about what success and ideal looks like. Chances are if you have not created a picture, others will not be able to help you, and you would not be sure you were receiving your ideal even if you had been offered it.

STOP:
* Overanalyzing, criticizing and doubting your capabilities.
* Allowing fear of rejection, failure, poverty, or unhappiness to govern your activity.
* Stop being Anti- (Diet, Fat, Unemployed, Old, Laid Off, Rejected, Lonely)

CONTINUE:
* Shifting your awareness when your emotions indicate negative energy, what can you do to turn this over? You have the answers, now walk in that direction.
* Seeking experiences that allow you to refine your vision of the future, why it's a passion, and what it will look like when you get there.

Study in Abundance: We Seek "___" Because we Need their Gifts..

Illusions, the Adventures of A Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach is a novel and a life experience all in one. With an eye on the great experience of life, Richard Bach has been an author who reminds me of the simplest synchronicity and truth waiting to be discovered. A recurrent wisdom and simplicity in his words that reach and speak to me.

From Illusions, a series of Life instructions through a series of quotes and experiences in the Messiah's manual. "We seek problems because we need their gifts". The beauty and simplicity of Richard Bach is that he is a remarkable story teller, that transforms us through his story, and we are better for having experienced him.. The knowledge and story line will have depth and meaning over time and life experience.

"We Seek Problems Because We Need their Gifts"

Fascinating suggestion that we have more control than we might think we are capable of. Act as if for a moment. Could it be that the limitations you are seeking in your life are based upon a need for us to experience something to perfect an element of our being to move on to something better? If that is true, what is also true if we relinquish our attachments to limitations and trade them for possibilities?

Experiments in recent "Asking clearly" , "Believing an answer is coming", and then "enjoying the receipt" has unfolded a number of pretty amazing events.

Does it apply to day to day living? Absolutely! Asking a question. Believing there is an answer, and celebrating when it occurs helps this nature to not only apply but extend our day to day living. Our needs will always be met if we ask for them to be, and believe that they will be met, plus take reasonable actions to recognize that request.

Martin Thomas and his large family is the perfect example of an applied study in abundance and possibility! When you decide that life is a series of amazing experiences meant for learning and doing good, you ask for the guidance on how to recognize that, you believe there is an answer, and you celebrate the abundance.... well the adage "to whom much is given, much is also expected", applies. To see the most compelling day to day example, visit his family site "A Family On The Move". So compelling, useful and inspirational was there experience, that there have been books and television interviews of this amazingly connected family-- full of creativity, possibility , and worldly travel experiences.

Example: I was the first to embrace our company "telecommuting direction", and technically was allowed to create my standards for telecommuting before there was a standard. For the last 2 years as my system has now grown closer to a decade old, the technology becomes less and less relevant. And yet I had asked annually for the past 3 years if I can upgrade my system because my work is being impacted. The problem got worse before it got better-- and largely because I expected it to. I had stopped asking for what I needed because I got tired of being told "times were tough" and there is no money. Finally I decided I had approached it wrong and needed to help folks understand that there are alternatives and I am not asking for a new system I am asking for a better resource to help me to help them. I re-articulated the issue and my requirements. I believed there was likely a solution I had not considered that has arised since I last asked for a resource. I was answered in less than 3 weeks with not one but two workable alternatives! Both of which would solve the problem, neither of which would cost the company money, and more importantly if resolved, both would improve my ability to help them.

Challenge.. How long has it been since you have asked for what you needed? Did you expect an answer or resistenced? What was the outcome?

In the next week, try some positive reinforcements in place of negative limiting believes that make you feel stuck. Try something new! Challenge an assumption. Release fear and negative limitations, and trade them in for a little action, optimism and possibility thinking.

And let me know of your successes. You will find them, if you are looking for transformation opportunity. You are never given a dream without the equal capacity to make it so. However you will need to spend some time improving your understanding of that success, defining it's criteria, and stepping boldly into the realm of belief.

Radical Resume Resources

My son at 4 years old played a game. I would name a tagline or an advertisement would come on tv and he would name the company. He could recognize the abstract notion of colors and shapes that represented the series of Target Commercials.

"You can do it, we can help." (Home Depot)
"M M M M M- Toasty" (Quizno's)
"I'm lovin it" (McDonalds)

Companies spend millions creating their brand image, and refine that message to where a toddler understands why they want to choose a given brand. A great job is worth the investment in image. Why would you not look into your marketing campaign with similar energy?

RESUME RESOURCES AND TIPS:
==========================
Tip 1: Don't just send a resume, create a "career marketing campaign" campaign means a plant to send targetted information, and follow up, and keep moving on until you find the right job. Express interest, but don't stop waiting for the phone to ring.

Tip 2: One size does not fit all, most often repeated mistake is using a language of the company you came from, instead of the environment you aspire to be. Study the language of your target companies. Many companies use searchable resumes to sort candidates before they ever reach the hiring manager.

Tip 3: Don't tell them what you do in narrative, tell them why you are the candidate of choice! Make sure your resume lists performance criteria that makes you stands out from the competition.

Job Seekers Supercharged for Success Tips!

Imagine a professional, with all the time in the world to create their perfect marketing campaign for career success. Visualize daily the way you would look, act, and feel in your ideal environment, then get to work on making the job search a supercharged success.

You are never given a dream without the equal capability of making it happen. Any career worth having however is worth the investment in making your best impression, and in this blog, we will talk about an optimal job search strategy that leverages the best of people, process and technology.

KEY THOUGHTS TO APPLY to all techniques:

1. WIIFM? Be sincere, be yourself, but don't be self centered.
First rule of job seeking and networking is to think of others.
If your focus is too much on finding a job, rather than selling your self
as the solution for others, you will experience much more tension.

WIIFM= Whats In It For Me? Works on the notion of success based upon ability
to solve others needs. Networking, Job Searching, etc.. it's all win win if
approached from the WIIFM perspective.

2. HAS/NEEDS: In marketing and job seeking it's called the Elevator Pitch,
In abundance creation it is articulating your value and needs to the universe
with enough clarity so others know how to help you. ASK for help and
then let people help. Supply and demand is a universal cycle, and too many
get hung up in the discomfort. There is no discomfort to win win business.

3. BELIEVE: Believe in the power of your ability, skills and words. Learn to
refine how you represent yourself.. To yourself, others, your resume...
Believe in the possibility that you are never given a dream without the
ability to make it true. Enlist the help of others to cultivate and
develop the belief in possibility thinking that leads to results.

PEOPLE: Over 75% of all jobs are found through networking.

1. Develop your network of "helpful people" update your address books and keep
in touch. Or get them updated and stay in touch. The best time to network
with people is when you do not need it, so that you have built the credibility
and relationships for when you do.

2. Social Networking extends your reach to a greater percentage of those willing
to help you. WIIFM? Remember they are looking to match good people with
good opportunity for personal, professional, or prosperity reasons. Whatever
the reason, if you are thinking win win, it is reasonable to expect the
universe to be win win. Meet a person a day, and get to know their interests.
It's fun and will take your mind off of worry to be listening to others.

3. Never underestimate the power of an Informational Interview. Request to take
a valued professional who has achieved influence or recognition in your
aspired industry to coffee. Talk about current events, what's needed for
success, closing ask if they would be willing to offer you feedback on how
to accomplish what they had. OR if they know of anyone you can talk to who
might be willing to help take the next steps.

PROCESS: You are the product, you deserve the results of your activity, influence, and action!

1. Finding a job is a job too, put in the same time, resource, messaging and
refinement as you would to a program, product, or service in your industry.
Market is constantly changing, people are constantly moving. If your
job search were a Six Sigma Project, you would be in a state of refinement:

DEFINE your offering, available resources, and tools.
MEASURE your capabilities with your current resources.
ANALYZE those adjustments that will make your shine.
IMPROVE your ability to sell yourself, manage momentum, achieve the goal.
CONTROL your resources such that you stay in tune, Resume, Networking,
and Industry practices until you get the perfect job.. It will be very clear
when it happens because you have refined the visual until success is found.

TECHNOLOGY: Its more than a job board that gets jobs today. Use technology to
cast the widest focus net:

1. Social Networking creates connections and personal resources. If 3/4 of all
jobs are found through networking, how can you afford not to? Besides,
where else can you get the free advertising that allows businesses who need
your skills to find you. Your PROFILE on each social network for business
should communicate the type of benefits you bring, and the type of
resources you need. Think Search Engine Optimization on the net.. Think
your resume can do that in 2 pages? Social Networking requires you to think
of your product and value, produce a profile that represents you and attracts
resources for success.

EXAMPLES: Ryze.com, LinkedIn.com HFCN Career iCoach, HFCN eNews Job Leads HFCN LinkedIn Group invitation for networking with influence!

2. Job Leads and Networking Services help you to manage who you are contacting.
Most systemns offer records and web based search.
